What does TEFL mean?

It means “teaching English as foreign a language”, and TESOL means “teaching English to speakers of other languages”. In other words, TEFL and TESOL are different names for the same thing.

The certificate

At Oxford TEFL Prague we offer a TESOL certificate that is certified by Trinity College, and recognized internationally in the English teaching profession. We are the only training center in the Czech Republic that offers this highly respected certification. Our teacher training course will allow you to start a career teaching English and is designed to help you gain abilities that will allow you to enjoy teaching, to teach efficiently, and at the same time travel and get acquainted with different cultures.

Course content

The course is focused on gaining experience and contains many hours of teaching practice. Our trainers provide you with the support you need to become successful teacher. Who is it for course intended for?

The course is designed for native speakers and non-native speakers whose English is at an advanced level. Those who are interested must demonstrate an advanced level in oral expression, reading, writing and understanding.
